Why I pick up the camera

I’ve always lived between two worlds: the analytical and the creative. In university I studied math, physics, chemistry, computer science, and economics. Today, I work as a software engineer, but photography is where I step outside of logic and into storytelling. It’s where structure meets style and precision meets vision.

For me, a photograph makes the intangible feel real. It can be the first time someone sees themselves in a dream they hadn't let themselves imagine — the life they want, the places they long for, or the version of themselves they hope to become. If you can see it, you can start to believe it’s possible.

A photo also holds memory. Light captured in a frame becomes a thread back to who we were, who we were with, and what it meant. That’s why I pick up a camera: to create images that open doors and hold onto moments. Because some things deserve to last.
